Of Monsters And Men On Their Expansive Career & The Music Industry: "I Can Really See How Bizarre A Lot Of It Is"

PREMIERE: Perth Alt-rockers Furball Generously Drop Dual Singles 'On The Mend' & 'Disposable Income'

The band will be launching the new release with a show at Jack Rabbit Slims next week.

Perth alt-rockers Furball are launching not one but two new singles today with the release of their new double A-side, On The Mend/Disposable Income.

The new tunes mark the onset of a grittier, more playful sound than listeners heard on their debut single Don't Worry About Anything, the dual release being used as a jumping-on point as much as being able to capably reinforce the new status quo.

According to the band, On The Mend "is a morning mantra, self-reassurance that it's all good and things get better", while the Disposable Income details the travails of a sharehouse breaking up, "ugly as it is pretty, gritty as it is polished, loud as it is quiet".

"Both songs sort of tackle the idea of coming to terms with things you're pretty aware of — bad mental health, bad relationships, bad habits, and ultimately kicking them or working to fix them, while trying having as much goddamn fun as possible," they said.

The songs came to life over the past six months, respectively being recorded at Sumo Studios and Jedi Sound, both by Rohan Martin, who also mixed the tracks. Mastering came from Forensic Audio's Simon Struthers.

Furball will be launching the new double A-side on CD and cassette with a show at Jack Rabbit Slims next Friday, 27 October, with support from Sly Withers, Pot Plant House Party and Joys.
