Presumably you've been to the Newtown Festival before, what's your favourite memory? The first Newtown Festival I went to when I moved to Sydney was about six years ago, I think I ended up just sitting in the churchyard all afternoon with friends.
Lots of suburbs put on festivals, but Newtown Festival is always particularly huge - why do you think that is? I suppose it's a kind of event that if you were in your early teens you could just say 'hey mum I'll be home later...' and go do whatever you want.
Favourite spot at the festival to chill and watch the world go by? I'd say anywhere you can find a bit of space and enjoy yourself with like-minded company.
What would be your entry into the dog show? Ah probably a fox terrier, and it wouldn't listen to anyone.

The festival's theme this year is "Home Is Where The Heart Is" - where do you feel most at home in Newtown and why? I suppose somewhere between the end of the Princess Highway and north up to Sydney Uni, there are lots of spaces and parks off the main road where you can enjoy the shade in summer.
The musical line-up this year is all from inner west artists. What is it about the inner west that inspires so much creativity? I think creativity comes from all the suburbs of Sydney but Newtown has a bit more level of self-appreciation within the community who try and link Newtown's identity to the arts.
Of all the food stalls on offer at the Festival, what do you reckon is one we should definitely check out and why? Well, I play just before lunch so I'll be sure to get something.
When and where are you performing on the day? 11.15am at the Essential stage.
