Peach PRCBubblegum pop by nature and chaotic good at heart, Peach PRC is deep in her brunette era and thriving at the moment.
Last year, she previewed what was to come by way of the single Miss Erotica – a glittery ode to her strip-club roots and an all-around banger of a track. Now, the Adelaide-born pop star is stepping confidently into this bold new era, and she’s hitting the road to celebrate it.
The Wandering Spirit tour will kick off at Melbourne’s Foreshore, before making its way to Adelaide’s AEC Theatre, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, Brisbane’s Cultural Forecourt and wrapping up at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory.
After the Australian leg wraps up, Peach will take the show to New Zealand for two performances, bringing with her a new earthy aesthetic, fresh new music and that unmistakable Peach PRC flair that has made her one of Australia’s most compelling pop figures.
Just minutes before tickets were due to go on sale, Peach hopped on a call with The Music. You’d be forgiven for expecting a hint of nerves, maybe even a frantic team scrambling in the background or some sense of the impending chaos that usually comes with announcing a huge national headline tour.

Instead, she was unexpectedly serene, joining the call from her garden and floating through the pre-tour whirlwind with an ease that suggested both confidence and gratitude.
“I really am just off with the fairies in every sense of the word,” she laughs. “I don’t know anything that’s going on, I don’t really know about sales or what’s happening.
“On the day, I show up and sing and just hope that everyone’s there.”
It’s this sort of airy yet chaotic sincerity that makes Peach such a delight to talk to. Beneath the sparkly exterior and soft-spoken humour, though, is an artist in the middle of a genuine transformation.
Her November single, Miss Erotica, marked the start of a new chapter rooted in experience, reflection and joy.
“It’s a song that I wrote in LA, I had been writing a lot of stuff for this album that was very in my feelings, I guess,” she explains. “This album has a lot of songs that are about alchemic moments in my life where I was being changed or shaped into something, and the strip club was one of those times.
“I was in the middle of one of the most intense moments of my life, but it turned out to be something so beautiful, and I wouldn’t be able to make the music I make now if I didn’t have that time in the club. I wanted to do something that was nice and positive and showed the fun side of it, cause it was a lot of fun.
“There was sisterhood and it was camp; it was amazing at times,” she adds. “So that’s why I like this song.”
It’s an empowering track- cheeky, fun and warm, dripping in that glittery nostalgia that Peach wields best. If Miss Erotica is the first taste of what’s coming, the era that follows promises to be bold, emotionally honest and genuinely fun – the sort of pop universe that she creates with ease.
Indeed, we’ve already seen more of what’s to come for Peach. Shortly after our chat, she dropped Out Loud – a yearning, hopeful anthem about keeping a relationship while wishing that love could be seen without fear or consequence.
The single was also accompanied by news that she would be releasing her long-awaited debut album, Porcelain.
While Peach's music first began arriving in 2019, and took off throughout the pandemic years, her fans have now witnessed more than five years of the local pop icon slowly transforming into the accomplished musician we see today.
Porcelain is itself another indicator of this musical and personal metamorphosis, as it bridges the gap between Peach PRC’s glittery, pink-fairy world and Shaylee’s own raw humanity.
“I’m in the middle of becoming someone else,” Peach said alongside the album’s announcement. “The last time I did that was years ago, when I became Peach Porcelain from Shaylee, and entered into the world of stripping and everything that came with that. Now, it feels like I’m in another porcelain stage.”
Coinciding with the album’s release in March, the Wandering Spirit tour is getting the full Peach PRC treatment: maximal, whimsical and dipped in a unique fantasy. The vision is already taking shape, and Peach has a clear sense of the aesthetic she wants to build and share.
“I’m really inspired by nature at the moment,” she shares. “I’m inspired by flowers and things that are taking over, like vines – things that regrow and reclaim manmade things. I really want to do a lot of that.
“The stage design and costumes as well, I want to have things inspired by specific flowers that I’m in love with and inspired by things that I resonate with.”
This natural evolution is a very fitting one for Peach PRC. An unexpected move away from the hyper-pink of past releases onto something more elemental, grounded and powerful.
Even with this shift, though, her main hope for the tour remains beautifully simple: to create meaningful connections and have fun.
“I don’t really ever have a feeling of what I want people to feel,” she says nonchalantly. “I just want them to feel, I guess.
“I love that I can watch each person having their own connection with each song from the stage. I just want that. I really want fun people at my shows who want to have fun with me.”
Peach PRC first started playing headline shows in 2022 and is therefore still relatively new to some aspects of the touring world. This feeling of connection, however, is one that she has been able to nurture more intentionally over the years.
As she gets more comfortable in the headlining slot, she’s learning to ease herself into the experience rather than overthink it.
“Every single show I do, I learn something new,” she muses. “Lately, on the last few tours, I’ve tried to focus more on the crowd and really connect with them rather than getting so in my head.
“When I started, I would be so focused on how I was moving and singing and acting and speaking between songs,” she adds. “Lately, I’ve been reminding myself to drop the mirror and look at the crowd and connect with them and just focus on what they’re experiencing and how they’re connecting to the music, rather than how I am performing it.
“That typically ends up giving me a better performance.”
The wonder of a modern pop concert is one that fans will know well – in 2025, concerts are treated as communal events rather than passive experiences. Fans craft outfits, stay up all night making signs and swap handmade friendship bracelets.
Perhaps this recent shift came from the desperate desire for connection during pandemic-era isolation, or maybe it’s thanks to the evolving nature of social media, but there’s no denying that crowd connection feels more important now than ever.
Peach, both through her online presence and on-stage openness, leans naturally into this phenomenon.
“I can’t rehearse what I’m going to say, or it sounds rehearsed,” she laughs. “I have to go rogue every single time, but it’s funny because I find that to be the easiest part.
“I get more nervous about singing and performing and putting on a good show than I do about being funny in between songs.”
The off-the-cuff moments end up becoming fan favourites – the jokes, tangents and spontaneous stories that only happen once can bond an audience and artist together. This is a skill she seems to possess effortlessly.
There’s a mixture of theatre-kid charm, pop-star poise and a wonderfully unfiltered quality which makes her feel both larger than life yet deeply relatable.
Joining her on the road for her Australian shows will be American singer-songwriter Maude Latour, who has had a huge year supporting artists like Alex Warren on his North American tour.
Also on the line-up is fellow Aussie pop girl and close friend to Peach, Salty. Peach speaks about her openers with genuine affection and a sort of insight that comes from having been in their exact position not so long ago.
Having opened for other artists herself, she knows how crucial that introductory set can be. It sets the tone, warms up the crowd, and often becomes a gateway for fans to fall in love with emerging acts.
While we’re seeing an unfortunate trend of international artists omitting openers from their sets, Peach is intentional with her choices, selecting artists who not only fit the vibe of the tour but also deserve to be seen and heard.
Approaching the end of Aus Music Month at the time of our chat, Peach effortlessly shifts the conversation towards Aussie talent she thinks people should know more about.
It’s a very on-brand move, and one that highlights her instinct to uplift those around her as well as her passion for Australian music – a scene that is bursting with so much incredible pop talent.
“Peach PRC obviously,” she jokes in true fashion, before adding, “A lot of my friends are hidden gems. My friend Salty is going to be opening for me. I think she deserves a good shot. I think she’s got some really cool, fun pop stuff that people should hear.
“Carla Whebe, Gretta Ray – both really talented artists, there’s just so, so many.”
Peach’s enthusiasm for others mirrors the type of enthusiasm her fans show for her. It’s a sort of reciprocal energy which fuels her work and her live shows.
As she enters this era with its earthy visuals, mature songwriting and growing sense of self, she remains grounded in her community. This is a massive part of what makes her evolution feel authentic as well as exciting.
Behind the whimsical exterior and infectiously fun music is an artist who has pushed through intense personal chapters and successfully transformed her experiences into art.
Through it all, Peach PRC has built a genuine sense of identity. The strip-club memories she sings about are far more than just aesthetic callbacks; they’re moments of survival, sisterhood and reclamation.
Her visuals, inspired by nature, are far more than just a trend- they’re reflections of regrowth and symbols of renewal. As for the chaos, glitter and soft humour – that’s just who she is, and we love her for it.
With more new music to come, a refreshed aesthetic taking shape and a super fun tour on the horizon, Peach PRC appears to be entering her most exciting and fully realised era yet.
If her wandering spirit is leading the way, then we’re pulling out our best floral fits and coming along for the journey.
Tickets to Peach PRC’s Wandering Spirit tour are on sale now, while pre-orders are available for her debut album, Porcelain.
