Have You Heard: The Spin Drifters

More The Spin Drifters The Spin Drifters

Answered by: George Washingmachine

When did you start making music and why? I was born into a musical household. My mother was a classical guitarist (Sadie Bishop). Music was in the house. I picked up a guitar very early in life.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Dynamic display, dazzling dexterity.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Montgomeryland, featuring Wes, Buddy and Monk Montgomery. Swinging jazz at its finest.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Circa 1982, having Bo Diddley sit in with my band. What a cat.

Why should people come and see your band? The music is infectiously good. So many talented people in our band who all get a go.

When and where are your next gigs? 18 May, The Basement.
