Give us a short description of your music: Frantic, mind-bending, eight-string time signatures with enough melody to keep the heads banging. Think Dillinger Esc Plan meets Meshuggah with a kernel of Korn.

Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? We are keen to check out in no particular order; Bare Bones, ARSE, The Beautiful Monument, Cast Down, Bad Juju, VOIID, Ella Hooper and Gravemind. Anyone who rules really.

In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Supporting Architects at the Metro Theatre with our current line up in Sydney was a real turning point. The moment goes fast but a friend happened to record the show and I remember watching it back thinking 'Yeah this is us' we played so tight, it all came together perfectly.

If you could give your younger self, starting out as a musician, a few words of wisdom, what would they be? Listen to the right people, learn from your mistakes and don't get frustrated, nothing comes easy. Don't procrastinate too much and don't lose sight of what's important, set goals, practice and clean that room!

Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? We pride ourselves on our live show so for BIGSOUND we'll be giving it 110.5%. Lots of hair flailing and a little on stage yoga. Also our drummer is a unit, I'd watch us on that one thing alone.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? Man, my brain is gunna be a dry sponge at BIGSOUND. I'm going to absorb any useful info anyone is going to throw at me. We are a self-funded, self-run band who hopes that 2019 is the year for Arteries, so bring it on.

What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? In Sydney the closure of many venues really hurt the metal scene. Other things that come to mind are reliance of social media (mostly facebook) to increase your fanbase. Also revenue a band generates compared to the amount of funds a band puts into a tour in Australia.

What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? Creating our own sound is something that is really important to us so we don't really follow trends but lately, we have seen a lot more downbeat Code Orange-esque hardcore bands making a splash and they keep saying it and I'm starting to believe them, nu-metal is back baby.

When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? Tuesday 4th September, the Brightside; Thursday 6th September, 256 Wickham. Playing with some tight bands, hope to see you there!
