Twin Atlantic are a Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. The group currently consists of Sam McTrusty (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Ross McNae (bass). Lead guitarist Barry McKenna departed from the band in 2019, but continues to perform with the band at their live shows. Craig Kneale (drums) "decided to step back" from the band in September 2021, just a day after the release of their song "One Man Party" from their most recent album Transparency. They have released six albums: Vivarium, Free, Great Divide, GLA, Power, and Transparency. Their highest-charting single is "Heart and Soul" from Great Divide, which peaked at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart. On 2 June 2016, Annie Mac premiered "No Sleep" as the Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1 and announced their album GLA, subsequently released on 9 September 2016.

"There's still the odd course gem thrown into GLA."
Hailing from Scotland, Twin Atlantic are becoming a worldwide favourite as the band continues to climb in popularity. The group’s latest record, ‘Great Divide’ combines all the rock aesthetic we’ve come to love them for with some of biggest choruses and hooks that will easily fill the huge rooms they're set to play. We caught up with bass player Ross McNae to talk about the album and Scotland as a music scene.
A slapdash rock record, revealing that the band are hoping their audience will do all of the work for them.
Great Divide proves that’s sometimes, more is more.
Gone from Free is the Scot swagger that had Blink-182, Smashing Pumpkins, and countrymen Biffy Clyro calling up for tour support, only to be replaced by unvarying structures and a delivery that gets old real quick.
