A banging three-tracker from the British bass fiends.. UK bass music trio Foreign Beggars have dropped their massive new EP - Modus, featuring three tracks and guest stars that include Eprom, Alix Perez and Riko Dan. EP opener Sirens featuring Eprom is a glitchy, sci-fi affair and the perfect introduction to the group's new EP, which sees them once again pushing into new sounds and new ways to hurt subs the world over. The title track is a heaving post-footwork beast, while Deng features plenty of jungle vibes and Riko Dan on the vox. On the EP's gensis, they had this to say: "We took a break earlier this year to start a new project with Alix Perez and Eprom, so headed out to LA for inspiration and a change of space. Eprom came through from Portland and we just got busy. Couple days at our makeshift studio in Downlown LA, skid row to be precise and a couple of days at the Red Bull HQ we arrived at Modus.." Despite her novelty DJ name, this mix is from the grime princess is legit.. 23-year-old Brummie born, London-based DJ Barely Legal (Chloe Robinson) just unleashed this dream of a mix for Trap Magazine, featuring songs from across the garage, jungle, grime, bass and footwork spectrums, along with a good dose of Destiny's Child, Usher, Jeremih and Alicia Keys. Robinson got her name before she even started DJing, when – at 16, a friend jokingly called her ‘DJ Barely Legal’, and it stuck (she even jokingly introduced herself to dubstep legend Coki as that soon after – brave!). At 19, she actually did learn to DJ (growing up in Birmingham with a mum that was way into garage music gave her a leg up into some more unique selects), and started using the name for real when playing in public. Despite her novelty name, this lady’s skills are nothing to smirk at – she’s regularly seen mixing it with the big boys of UK grime, dubstep and bass on club line ups with consistent quality song selections
