Video Interview: Indian Summer
Indian Summer talk Shiner, cooking and shaving people's heads.. To say Indian Summer have had a pretty great year would be selling them short. They've been steadily pumping out some rad singles/EPs via the kings over at Sweat It Out, most recently culminating in the release of their Shiner EP. That EP's title track, featuring Ginger & The Ghost, has been smashing it lately with a killer video clip (watch it HERE) and some big shows to support it. One of those was their appearance at this year's Splendour In The Grass, and seen as Chevy and Gabe are two of our favourite humans in the country/world, we jumped at the chance to sit down with them while there for a little chinwag and a spot of duck-fishing. Check our interview with them below, and their remaining tour dates below that: REMAINING TOUR DATES: Wed Aug 27 - Akuna Club @ Llama Bar, Perth Fri Aug 29 - Mondo Fridays @ Ginger, Perth Sat Aug 30 - Ship Faced Cruise, Sydney Sat Aug 30 - Carmens, Miranda Sat Sept 6 - Anyway @ The Bott

Willow Beats - Merewif Video + Water EP
Go underwater with Willow Beats ahead of the release of their new EP, Water.. With their latest single Merewif announcing Willow Beats as a part of the Pilerats Records family, along with just generally killing it, it's time for the world to see the video clip. Premiering yesterday on PIGEONS & PLANES, it's a tumbling bustle of mystical excitement, bringing the duo’s water-soaked visions for both the single and the upcoming EP to life. The clip was filmed almost completely underwater by the same groundbreaking RED camera technology used in the The Hobbit, and is full of the kind of motion only Willow Beats could conjure. A story of Merewif (The Water Woman), the clip follows vocalist Kalyani being dragged then buoyed by the water and its people. It was shot both in an indoor pool, and the stunning and salty surroundings of Rottnest Island, showcasing the outfit’s ability to make even the most sublime and other-worldy fit right next to the beats of us mere mortals: Water is an invitati

Interview - Daktyl
The British beatmaker currently killing it. Rich Lonbay, more commonly known as Daktyl, has been killing it lately with some impressive originals being released on labels like DIE HIGH and Hegemon. The British born producer has been working hard to accompany an already notable onslaught of remixes, with some dope tunes of his own. As an artist, Rich is incredibly versatile, straddling the line between chill trap and more ambient experimental stuff. Labeling this guy a genre wouldn’t do him justice. Although his brand of chill trap is something special, complementing obscure melodies with on-point percussion. Daktyl is currently taking over the world beginning with his tour of the U.S. In between his hectic schedule of shows, studios and rest, he found time to give us five and talk a little about what’s been going on.

Are you an artist that feels strongly about solo work and not into collobrations? Not really, I'm down for anything, over my seven official releases, three of them are collaborations. We've got old 7"'s of yours at our place, when your making a record, do you always try and deliver it in physical format? Yes, I like to see it coming out on physical format, it makes more sense this way. Does your music have a stronger audience outside of France, or are they feeling your stuff their too? Yes my audience is very worldwide spread, rather than just France. Which is a great thing, I'm proud it appeals to any kind of people all over the world. I would never trade this for more local support.  How was your last Australian tour, what was the highlight? Australia is always awesome, people are nice and it's usually packed. And now I h
