Knights’ vocals were even more perfect than on record, while the dutiful Paridjanian kept his eyes on the road and played the shit out of his electro-acoustic, leaving Knights to absorb the spotlight.

The group have only a few quirks to sort out (like, you know, a support act) before becoming a country music staple. Just give them some time. And keep Rogers off the Ritalin.

Admittedly, the letter formula is a nice, easy and cohesive thing to build the show around. But it’s boring. It’s tiresome.

This is Rose’s second offering and it’s a little brasher than the first, even managing to swing ever so slightly into the alt.country landscape.
