“The creation of the album, and the response to it, has been nothing short of extraordinary - definitely one for the pool room! But James and I aren’t ready to file this under ‘great memories’ or let it gather dust. There’s still so much life in these songs…”

James Roche added, “Records are great, but live gigs and real life audiences are another level.”

Earlier this year, Bachelor Girl embarked on a short, sold-out run celebrating Waiting for the Day. They released the album Waiting for the Day: Artist Sessions this year, reimagining their original double-platinum record with an incredible roster of special guests.

Performers who appeared on the album included Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy, Darren Hayes, Tommy Emmanuel, Ella Hooper, and others.

When it was released in 1999, Waiting for the Day earned the duo an ARIA Award for Producer of the Year and a PPCA Award for Most Broadcasted Australian Artist. Meanwhile, its enduring single, Buses and Trains, is renowned as one of the greatest songs to ever come out of Australia.
