Jamie Now - Never Fade EP
A damn accomplished slice of future-beat if ever we've heard one.. We first came across Melbourne-via-Perth producer Jamie Now when he flicked us this KILLER REMIX of Golden Features' Tell Me feat. Nicole Millar, and have been eagerly anticipating more original work since, and this week saw the release of his Never Fade EP. Following a quick listen it's fair to say his transition from drum'n'bass and dubstep to future-beats and chilltrap has been a smooth one. It still errs into those kinda territories at times, particularly on Exhale (which more than anything took me back to the old Donkey Kong SNES game for some reason), but the rest remains a masterclass in on-point production and futuristic electronica. You can stream it below, or buy it for next to nothing via BANDCAMP. Follow Jamie Now: FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD

SBTRKT Releases 2 New Tracks
The hype towards SBTRKT's next album grows and grows.. London-based producer, songwriter and multi-instrumental masked wonder SBTRKT has dropped two new tracks from his upcoming sophomore LP Wonder Where We Land, due September 26. We'll dispense with the pleasantries and get straight to the music - Voices In My Head feat. A$Ap Ferg, and Higher feat. Raury.  On the A$AP Ferg colab - "I started this in London with an idea I recorded on an upright piano - took this to Los Angeles (set up at Fleas the Boat studio in Silver Lake) collaborating further with Stella (drums) & Emily (vocals) from Warpaint - took this back to london to work more arrangement ideas to it and finally a couple months later took that to New York (Downtown - The Roots were in the studio next door!) and collaborated with Ferg (out to our friend Callender for connecting us). This is one of my fave tracks and seemed to be a fitting ending to the record too. This started with me having a seed idea but seeing it grow way

Interview: Baro
Matt Farsalas chats to one of Aussie hip hop's brightest young things.. Quite simply, Baro is creating some of the smoothest hip hop in Australia right now, which is no mean feat given he's all of 17-years-old. Having caught the ear of Triple J presenters with his early work Word Smoother, his latest mixtape Howgoodisgood? has caused quite a ripple, and there's a very good chance you'll be able to catch him live in the near future, so we figured it best to get to know him a little better. Drawn from an Odd Future, Chance the Rapper and MF Doom kind of world, Baro’s tunes also hark back to the sound of A Tribe Called Quest – they come off like modern classics. Hey man, cheers for the time, I understand you’ve been pretty busy gigging alongside UV Boi, Milwaukee Banks and the like. How have you been enjoying the live shows and licensed venues? They have been mad. I didn’t expect to go and have people knowing words to my shit, I thought it was just going to be go, get up and perform to 1

Introducing: Two Can
Meet the Melbourne brothers bringing the bass.. Two Can have been steadily making waves in 2014 with a stream of remixes and originals, dabbling in the realms of tropical chiltrap, with a production quality that extends far beyond their relatively young (producer) age. They also seem like very nice chaps. Stream they're latest release - a remix for American producer and lord of the summer time Viceroy, and get to know Two Can a little better. Tell us about about yourselves: Hey guys, Oscar and Myles from Two Can here. First and foremost, we are brothers from Melbourne, Australia, living on Chapel Street amongst an array of cafés, bars and shops. Our musical background and influences are wide-ranging and we like to think that this shows in some of our music. We had both been dabbling in music production before taking on Two Can, creating more EDM-inspired works, which we released under a different name. This was fun, however we wanted to explore other types of music. Therefore, we deci

Tropical Bangers With Young Franco
5 of the best with the most troppo dude we know - Young Franco.. Sunday 21 September sees good vibes party Stranded hit South Stradbroke Island with a killer line-up featuring Alison Wonderland, Allday, Safia, Client Liaison, Just A Gent, Paces, Promnite, Designated, Young Franco and Fishing. We couldn't think of a better crew to get your desert island rave vibes on with, and to get you in the mood we asked Young Franconstein for a few essential tropical club bangers. These are his stories: Nicole Millar - Taken (ISLND Remix) This song is absolutely nuts. Literally EVERYTHING about is dope. The ISLND dudes are killing it at the moment and bringing something pretty fresh.  Mickey Kojak - Feel My Pain (Poolclvb Remix) Classic House vibes, vocals are awesome and so is the remix. Mickey Kojak is gonna be doing some big things in the next six months. Cherokee - Don't Matter (feat. Darianna Everett) Play this one all the time, the production on it is so on point. Love this kinda vibe. FKJ

Interview: Young Fathers
The Listen Out-bound hip hop trio talk 'Dead' and genre loyalty.. Young Fathers are the fast-rising UK hip hop trio gaining swift attention for their no-holds-barred approach to making music. Their diverse backgrounds (Liberia, Nigeria, and Scotland) and musical tastes fuel the trio’s uncompromising formula that ensues their hard-hitting music is at the fore, and not overshadowed by any desire for mere aesthetics or to be “arty”. Listen closely and you’ll note the pop, psych, rap, hip hop, the hook, rhythm and bass, all clashing into one raucous melange. It’s at once familiar but equally as hard to place. Off the back of the success of their early mixtapes TAPE ONE and TAPE TWO, the trio released their debut full-length Dead earlier this year. Early fans include David Byrne, Diplo and Alt-J, among a swag of chief UK press including The Sunday Times, giving the group a strong sense of credence that bucking trends is the way forward. With a live presence that’s touted as “a version of a
