Perhaps it’s this elusive and unfathomable sense of coexisting sameness and otherness that makes such a performance so damn wondrous.

Mitchell’s performance closes with droves of punters of all ages dancing in the walkways to the merry Oh! Hark!, a beautiful image to watch the sun set to.

They seamlessly move across their station with crazy fingers, taking turns on the pad, tweaking and playing as the entire venue move their bodies along.

No rock star egos here – you can’t argue with two guys giving the people what they want, when they want it, and The Presets are mechanically on time all night.

Divine Fits, however, were as humble as a band could get, in spite of their impressive line-up.
