It’ll be a shame if this reunion ever ends, but at least we’ve had the privilege of witnessing a once great band relive a great past with pure class.

Only very few and special artist’s setlist could feature songs culled from a career that has lasted about 50 years. Tonight’s show is the stuff of legend from a bona fide R&B legend.

It could be said that !!!’s previous works were sitting at a fork in the road, with the choice to go one of two ways, and they’ve unashamedly chosen the dance road for Thr!!!er, backing up their decision with a heightened level of refinement and consideration.

There are certainly moments where the acoustic/synth/sporadic guitar riff combo gel well with Keith’s steady vocal, though on a whole When It Was Now just feels quite plain.
