"They are undeniable masters of the pop hook even on their tenth record."

More Roxette More Roxette

Swedish superstars Roxette have rarely deviated from their signature techniques in 30 years.

Through daggy though endearing production, dazzling key changes, obnoxious fade outs, an ever-flawless vocal from Marie Fredriksson that somehow excuses a boggling array of cliches and Per Gessle's creepy low range voice, they are undeniable masters of the pop hook even on their tenth record. It Just Happens, reminiscent of 1988 smash Listen To Your Heart, is a solid electro-ballad complete with "modern" ambient production vibes and a mad drop. A compact record with a balance of driving melodies and balladry, Good Karma is a decent spin to be appreciated by fans.
