Album Review: Naomi Punk - Yellow

StarStar

"The LP is not cohesive and, by the end, it's a case of, 'WTF did I just listen to?'"

Yellow is far from mellow with its arty, grunge-rock tunes that give it an out-of-this-world strangeness.

From the instrumental tracks like Introduction I and Introduction II through to Scorpion Demo, Naomi Punk sound like they got high and made music for the first time. My Shadow and Matroska give off a nostalgic '80s vibe with quirky synths while Travis Coster's creepy dark vocals in Chains and Journey To The Top make it even more weird. The LP is not cohesive and, by the end, it's a case of, 'WTF did I just listen to?'"
