Fresh faced Sydney duo Human Movement have teamed up with Eliza Sol for their third track 'Paradise', a minimal techno house track showing lots of potential
Blake Gilray and Edward Macdonald, together known as HUMAN MOVEMENT, are known for their huge tracks. Having already caught the eye of none other than SKRILLEX, and doing a guest mix for his label NESTHQ, they're not showing any signs of slowing down with their latest track, Paradise.
Driving bass hits hard alongside the almost eerie vocals of ELIZA SOL, as atmospheric synths and melodies lightly play with the swift beats. It's dark, and retains a minimal element whilst also encompassing some of the emotion in the vocals. Paradise borrows elements from the UK and weaves in and out of techno, minimal and even house as it progresses over it's six minute running time.
Starting off with a brief bassy intro, the track falls back as SOL begins to sing. Her voice is one of the most peculiar and unique I've heard in recent times, with an almost rastafarian/world music sound. Singing about chasing "paradise", the song begins to pick up again with a thumping beat, before turning back to the dark gritty minimal sounds.

The infectious hook is made for exceptional soundsystems, and is refreshing in it's industrial and dark sounds compared to what else is coming out of Sydney at the moment. The track continues the dynamic approach, holding back when SOL sings and relinquishing the listener for a few seconds before plunging into the bass again. Drops and breaks are scattered throughout, but HUMAN MOVEMENT seem to have managed to learn the skill of restraint, and are taking the "less is more" approach with this one.
Paradise comes after the success of their debut track Shake which has over 65K plays on Soundcloud, and follow-up single To Be. An EP is expected to drop from the duo as well, meaning we will definitely be hearing a lot more of them.
