Grasps_ brings together local and international producers to remix 'ETERNAL GLOW' with an EP that explores the spectrum of industrial club sounds.

A few months back GRASPS_ dropped 'ETERNAL GLOW', a stripped back, industrial-trap hitter that juxtaposed looped melodies with hissing synths. Now he's brought together some local and international producers to revisit the track and put their unique spin on it. The only thing the remixes have in common are the building blocks of the original, as every track coming out of this EP explores a different element on the spectrum of industrial club sounds.

CELES7E kicks off the EP, upping the intensity with a menacing build of the low end and intense percussive hits. Where the original was sparse percussions wise, here he plays around with syncopated drums as the repetition of the harp melody grounds the madness around it.

Melbourne's CORIN builds a soundscape just as menacing, incorporating twitchy samples and skittering synth fills among the bass. Twinkling improvisations link an ominous opening section to a commanding drop, that contrasts an imposing bass line with layers and layers of insane, tinny melodies.

Sydney producer and frequent Grasps_ collaborator, PTWIGGS takes a relatively stripped back approach to her remix. Tactile samples crash around the beat as she incorporates a counter melody to the repeated synth loop of the original. Taking it to half time at the end, samples of screaming and crying close the scene for another twisted ptwiggs banger.

Taking inspiration from twisted baile funk rhythms, EYNE shapes 'ETERNAL GLOW' into something completely different. With dark reverberating wubs, a syncopated rhythm that keeps pulling you along and those glistening melodies that tie everything together, this remix is a whole new beast.

Energy is way up for RUI HO's flip, upping the BPM to take this track straight into club territory. Samples of the original are intensified with frantic panning and electric fills. Rui Ho's remix feels like two tracks in one, as the lead up to the final drop thins out and completely shifts the mood. This properly showcases the main synth loop, now at a higher tempo and even more menacing.

Sydney producer /N T O/ pulls it all the way back down, with a dreamy closer for this remix EP. The backbone of the track is a woozy half tempo trap bass, as snippets of skittering drums and industrial samples fill in the gaps. Together, it all creates a dense atmosphere, giving the track an all encompassing feel, and serves as a very satisfying sonic palette cleanser for this collection of tracks.
