"Being such multi-talented producers they can easily change up the way they perform each song in a live atmosphere and still create a seamless delivery."

More Cosmo's Midnight More Cosmo's Midnight

Tonight is the fourth and final show Cosmo's Midnight are playing in Melbourne on this leg of their tour but the first one to sell out. "In case you didn't know we dropped our album a few weeks ago, so if you don't mind we're gonna play a few tracks from it," says Cosmo Liney. The place is vibing in no time as they drop Dreamer to get the crowd dancing along to their smooth electro and R&B production. The song is somewhat of an anthem for these twin brothers who are continuing to ride the highs of their success and making their dreams a reality.

Their debut album (What Comes Next) has a lot of impressive vocal features and as much as it would be incredible to see each and one of these artists sing with them live on stage, it's just not possible tonight. They do however have some help from their special guest Asta, who provides powerhouse vocals on some of their biggest hits including History and Talk To Me. The crowd gets their phone torches out to light up the place as they groove along and sing at the top of their lungs to the upbeat pop bangers. Mookhi also joins in to bring an exciting live instrumental element with her trumpet skills for Get To Know.

They bring it down a bit for their light and airy synth-flow of Polarised, which normally features Patrick Liney on vocals — tonight he continues to stick with the drums. Being such multi-talented producers they can easily change up the way they perform each song in a live atmosphere and still create a seamless delivery. The duo throws in a fun cover of Calvin Harris's Slide where they simply increase the bass lines to the maximum level possible so that we feel it pulsate through every inch of our bodies.

All of the support acts and vocal guests — including Mookhi, Genesis Owusu and Asta — join on stage for a moment as we take a moment to wish the Lineys a happy birthday. They've even got a Coles mud cake to celebrate this very special occasion. They pass the chocolately goodness out to the crowd in the front row but inevitably it gets thrown around like a beach ball in the moshpit as everyone excitedly grabs a handful.

After an hour-long set that extends just past midnight, they reach a point where they literally have no songs left to play for us. You know it's been a great show when the crowd is so pumped up and full of energy they could continue partying for hours after the headliner is finished. The venue picks up on this and continues blaring the tunes through the speakers to keep the vibe going long into the night.
