"A dynamic and cohesive record."

More Banoffee More Banoffee

LA-based Aussie Banoffee’s much anticipated full-length LP is finally here and it’s been well worth the wait. Two years in the making, Look At Us Now Dad finds the engaging artist writing introspective pop jams with a synth edge about human experiences including addiction, heartbreak and abuse.

Pairing personal yet relatable lyrics with synth-pop meets experimental electro productions, the album is a dynamic and cohesive record that draws you in from the get-go.

Fuckwit deals with obsession and being in love with someone who treats you like shit, Contagious is a spacey R&B relationship breakdown, while Banoffee goes full 808s & Heartbreak with the auto-tuned Permission

The interludes scattered throughout the album disturb the listening experience slightly, but do play a role in the album's narrative, while the two guest vocalists bring an added bounce to proceedings - Empress Of is the perfect foil for Banoffee on opener Tennis Fan while rapper Cupcakke brings the ruckus with her short but impacting verse on the SOPHIE co-produced Ripe remix.

Showcasing clear growth as an artist, Banoffee delivers one of the early surprises of 2020.
