Andras Fox and Oscar Key Sung have been quietly gigging around Melbourne for some time.
Their debut album expands on and gives definition to their mellow vocal house grooves. Unlike the tight, rubbery bounce we associate with house, there’s a loose, relaxed, almost wonky vibe about this album’s deep grooves. Fox’s minimal arrangements come with playfully cute Casiotone hooks and leave plenty of space in the mix for the heartache of Key Sung’s rather love sick vocals that omit melodrama to just drift wistfully.
