More Aerials More Aerials

Without trying to be too clever, the second EP from Brisbane trio Aerials sees them finding their feet with an uncomplicated big-BIG sound.

Guitars crunch and stab out massive riffs as inspired by mid-noughties emo (ssh!) and Linkin Park's hollering as the pomposity of mid-career Muse. Then they add a pinch of Placebo's lyrical kink, corralling their influences and celebrating radio-friendly rawk, while skimming off the cheese. The latter three songs work better than the first three with Symptoms thwacking harder than Restless and The End begging for a moody fan-made YouTube video.
