Pilerats Records
So we decided to start a record label.... For the past 12 or so months we’ve been doing our darndest to impact the cultural landscape. Whether it’s via a premium quality digital magazine, a classy-looking website filled with stuff we think you’ll think is cool, or throwing parties around the country with international and national artists at the top of their game, 2013 has been a massive year. And so as we look ahead to 2014, we wonder how on earth could we possibly give ourselves more shit to do, throw more parties, and generally be the best possible collective of human beings we could. With that in mind, we’re nervous, excited, stoked, and above all else fucking proud to announce the launch of Pilerats Records. We can’t wait to share more with you soon, but for now here’s a short video that gives us massive, Ron-Burgundy-would-be-jealous, erections:

Interview - Destroy
Chatting with one of Perth's most prominent artists.. Joseph Boin, better known as Destroy, is among the nation's most prominent and talented artists - his work spans across street and mural art, chalk pastels, airbrushing, traditional brush work and previously tattooing. Recently, he took the time to answer a few questions. Firstly, thank you for taking the time to answer these questions! For our readers who might not be familiar with the man behind the artwork, tell us a bit about yourself, your background, and what led you to art in general?  I have always had an interest in drawing since childhood from there I progressed into graffiti in my early teens. I never took my art seriously until I became older, from there I progressed into airbrushing then into  tattooing to what I do now, which is freelance art. How did this interest in art translate, over time, into your current practice?I guess I just progressed and matured mentally which led me to take my art more seriously. I always

The Invisible Bike Helmet
Two swedes have developed an invisible bike helmet.. If you’re looking to give bike riding another chance, now that cars are becoming more insanely expensive to run every day, read on, because you will be pleasantly surprised that the ridiculous, uncomfortable and downright ugly bike helmets are now a thing of the past.  Two Swedish industrial designers Anna Haupt and Terese Alstin came up with the concept whilst studying at the University of Lund in 2005. Eight years later, it’s finally on the market, and for a meagre $535 (a price we imagine will eventually come down once this genius invention becomes mass produced), you too can own one. We’re not going to give away the design, but try and figure out how it works before you watch below. If you feel inclined to put yourself on the waiting list for one, visit the ladies' WEBSITE.

Panda Cam
And you thought watching Golden Retriever pups live was cool.... If Golden Retriever PUPPIES are too energetic for your docile brain, have a gander at the pandas on the 24 hour live-streaming iPanda cam at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The cameras were set up by China Network Television as a gift to those who ‘love pandas and crave peace.’ The highly endangered species are recognised as a symbol of peace in China and the network brings awareness about conservation and environmental protection. Watch the magnificent slothful creatures eat, sleep, eat, play, eat and eat until your heart is content. I highly recommended streaming it all day at work on one of your duel screens for maximum stress relief. Ignore the weird looks. Go ahead, get STREAMING.
