The annual Supanova Comic-Con and Gaming Expo is finally touching down in Sydney and Perth this month. With weekend-long events packed with Supa-Stars, exhibitions, and more taking place, The Music has rounded up everything punters need to know.
First up is Sydney this weekend, followed by Perth next weekend. Each year, Supanova draws tens of thousands of pop culture fans to Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Melbourne.
The Gold Coast and Melbourne events happen in April each year, followed by Sydney and Perth in June, and Adelaide and Brisbane in October/November. It’s a year-long celebration of film, television, comics, and gaming, with plenty to do and on display for everyone.
So, without further ado, here’s what you need to know about this year’s stops in Sydney and Perth.
Supa-Stars
Last month, it was announced that The Boys and Mortal Kombat II star Karl Urban would exclusively appear in Sydney this weekend. Meanwhile, a Middle-earth reunion is taking place in Sydney and Perth, with Craig Parker joining his The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit co-stars Jed Brophy and Stephen Hunter.

Supanova returns to the Sydney Showground Olympic Park from Friday, 19 to Sunday, 21 June, and heads to the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on Saturday, 27 and Sunday, 28 June.

Tickets to both events are now available via Ticketbooth, with the Supa-Stars roster and much more available to explore on the Supanova website.
Who can attend?
Supanova is an all-ages, ticketed event. However, children aged 12 and under can enter the grounds for free.
Timetables & Maps
Supanova has you covered, with timetables and maps for its coming events now online. On the expo’s website, fans can find downloadable PDFs, but organisers also advise downloading the Supanova app for ease and keeping the timetable and map with you when you attend.
