The Whitlams Announce 'Return To Rock Island' Australian Tour

The Whitlams are asking fans to enjoy their “raucous side” as they prepare for an East Coast pub tour - something “wildly different to Orchestral ’26.”

Australian indie rock outfit The Whitlams are touring at home once more this October, but they’re doing a little something different to their last run of shows.

From February to last weekend (13 June), The Whitlams travelled across Australia on their Orchestral ‘26 tour, playing multiple sold-out shows at venues such as Sydney’s State Theatre, Brisbane’s QPAC, Newcastle’s Civic Theatre, and Adelaide’s Festival Theatre – plus gigs in Hobart, Perth, Canberra, and Toowoomba. That tour followed their massive Orchestral run at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.

This time, the band are preparing for a “wildly different” tour, which sees them return to their favourite pubs this spring, including the Metro Theatre, The Triffid, and the Corner Hotel, to name a few.

The tour begins at Brunswick Heads’ Hotel Brunswick on Friday, 2 October. It continues at Coffs Harbour’s Hoey Moey on Saturday, 3 October, followed by two nights at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel (Friday, 9 and Saturday, 10 October) and Sydney’s Metro Theatre (Friday, 16 and Saturday, 17 October), a show at Wombarra Bowlo on Sunday, 18 October, and concludes with two nights at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Friday, 23 and Saturday, 24 October.

It’s a classic, East Coast tour of pubs, with special guest William Crighton opening all shows. Pre-sale tickets will be available on Tuesday, 23 June, at 10 am local time – register here for tickets.
