Mrs Mac's Presents - A Creative Journey: Part 3
On the roll with Andrew Fallara.. Andrew Fallara is a young Perth skateboarder known for his cruisy attitude, faultless style and effortless ability. Having grown up in a household where his old man surfed and there were regular roadtrips to the beach, Andrew transferred what he saw in the ocean onto the streets of Perth. This eventually led him to link up with Perth skateboarding royalty like Barry Mansfield, Luke Carl Thompson and a host of others. Be sure to keep an eye out for some new footage of him dropping later in the year. Andrew embodies the perfect roadtripper - not only is he rather mellow, his go with the flow character and keenness for adventure make every situation fun. The guy doesn’t drive so it’s an arguable point that he has hit the most roadtrips out of any of us on that skateboard of his. In saying that he even managed to light up a few skate parks in the short amount of time available on our trip, and worked tirelessly with Shadow Data and DYP to bring this projec

Paces
Pilerats' fave $wag lord Paces chills things down for the first of a few Problems remixes.. Adelaide duo Problems are making some serious inroads into the Aussie producer scene if their new single Capture Me is anything to go by. While you can check out the original version of the tune via this wavey VIDEO CLIP, this week the focus shifts towards a pretty sweet remix package that kicked off last Friday with none other than ya boi Paces. Having a killer year himself (including recently slaying Splendour In The Grass), he had this to say of of a somewhat more subdued re-work than we're used to: "I’ve been learning some music theory lately. This is the first of a bunch of new tunes I’ve made with a slightly improved grasp on what I’m doing. Hope you vibe on it!" Well we do vibe on it mate, and you can take a listen below and download it for free via Problems' FACEBOOK, and check back this Friday when we might have a cheeky little Problems remix to premiere ourselves. GodWolf - See It Through (Omniment Remix) *Premiere*
Indie-electronic duo GodWolf's new single gets a rad remix from Brisbane's Omniment.. We're having a killer run of premieres lately. Last week another indie-tronic duo Wolf Tide let us premiere their beautiful debut track Spoke The Words (listen HERE), and we're very happy to keep the wolf vibes going with this killer remix of GodWolf's third single, See It Through. Given the re-work treatment from Brisbane producer Omniment, it traverses a sweet line between future-beat and tropical house, for blissful results. It comes off the back off a fittingly luscious video clip for the tune (which you can see down the bottom), and with plenty of love showered upon the GodWolf lads since their debut single Alone, one gets the feeling we're going to be hearing a lot more from them moving forward. On the remix tip - while this is our first introduction to Omniment, it's a great one, and we'll definitely be keeping an eye on his Soundcloud from here on.  Follow GodWolf: FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD Foll

LOLO BX - Too Curious feat. Mayo
Bathurst duo LOLO BX bring future R&B vibes on their new EP.. DIY, Bathurst-based bros LOLO BX have announced themselves to the Australian electronic scene with their first official two-track EP, Too Curious, out now on Die High Records. The title track is an electronic jam celebrating our current R&B resurgence, featuring the unique vocals of Chicago-based "next big thing", Mayo. The second offering, Airworks, is the perfect follow-up, rounding out a killer one-two punch for the duo following their self-released Spring EP late last year. They scored a nomination at the recent Stoney Roads Breakthrough Producer Of The Year Awards, and if Too Curious is any indication, we're looking forward to lot more from the twosome. Broncho - What *Premiere*
Oklahoma garage-pop outfit Broncho give us the Aus' premiere of their new track.. If "Cheap Trick meets the Drive soundtrack meets every great song from Fast Times At Ridgemont High meets the greatest after-hours party you've never been to" sounds like your cup of tea, then boy do we have the band for you. You may have heard Oklahoma three-piece Broncho's recent single Class Historian - trust me, that do-do-do-do-do will not get out of your head any time soon - and today we're stoked to have the Australian premiere of their follow-up, What. It's from the upcoming release of their sophomore album - Just Enough Hip To Be Woman (pre-order HERE for the September 19 release) - and it's a jangly slice of southern garage-pop, with a little more fuzz than its predecessor. Take a listen below, and feel the summer vibes: Follow Broncho: FACEBOOK // WEBSITE

Video: Violent Soho - Saramona Said
Violent Soho can do no wrong.. Between dudes ripping gumboot bongs during their set at SPLENDOUR and customised beer pong TABLES, I think it's safe to say Violent Soho are Australia's favourite rock'n'roll act in 2014. The fact they have consistently backed it up with incredible live shows and just generally being sick cunts (they really do epitomise the phrase), puts them in good stead to lord of the this country's rock heap for a long time to come. They're now taking their wares overseas, with the Aus' chart-smashing album Hungry Ghost set to take over the states. In celebration they've dropped their video clip for Saramona Said in the US, and it's a masterclass in film making from creators Garetz Media, who had purchased an old car to literally rip the roof off it and assemble moving tracks for the camera. It's epic, and will make you long for the weekend even harder than you already do:

Flying Lotus - You're Dead! Preview
Hype hype hype hype hype.. LA-born Steven Ellison, known better as Flying Lotus, has recently announced details of his forthcoming album on Warp Records, entitled You're Dead! - "You’re Dead! is a shamanic pilgrimage into the psychedelic unknown of the infinite afterlife. A sonic, visual and metaphysical fusion of technological innovate and technical virtuosity that amounts to a transcendent, mind expanding plasm that could only exist between our world and another.” Flying Lotus’ previous album, featuring the likes of Thom Yorke and Erykah Badu, ventured out into the abstract side of spaced-out jazz, and as always, was skilfully textured with crisp percussion. Set to be released on October 6, Flying Lotus’ fifth album features a huge range of talent, from the legendary jazz musician Herbie Hancock, to the hip hop heavyweights Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dog, as well as Flying Lotus’ rapping alter-ego, Captain Murphy. In the past week, Flying Lotus has been releasing previews of the grues

Video: At Home With Millions
With their (cracking) debut album out, we get nostalgic about MTV Cribs'ing with Millions.. Brissy babes Millions are on the verge of releasing their debut album Max Relax - and following a sneaky advance listen we're bloody stoked for them - so we thought now would be a good time to dig up an old fave from the archives. Back when we went on a Pilerats tour to launch this little project, we not only had the pleasure of watching the guys live, but chilling at their pad, getting the tour, and just generally hanging. A likelier bunch of lads we guarantee you would struggle to find, and we hope this album kills it 'cause it's a bloody ripper (seriously - go buy it HERE). Apologies for the abuse of the word "bloody", this video just feels very Australian. They're playing a few launch shows starting this weekend: Sydney 16 August - GoodGod Small Club Melbourne 21 August - The Worker's Club  Brisbane 22 August - Black Bear Lodge Follow Millions: FACEBOOK // WEBSITE
