It's time for another taster from Step-Panther's upcoming album.. Sydney trio Step-Panther are marching towards the release of their new album Strange But Nice, due September 19 and produced by Big Scary's Tom Lansek, and their new single is only whetting our appetite more. Solidifying their shift towards a somewhat poppier direction, it still packs enough of the wonky guitar jangles that has been garnering them fans thick and fast. Benson's serious new basshouse banger is touring the country.. Melbourne mate and man of the night Benson has dropped a new single, which also doubles as announcing his annointment into the Australian House Mafia you know as Sweat It Out, and it's a ball-tearer of a start. The tune, Hot Mess feat. Lex Famous on the vocals and starts out all nice like, before slamming in to the kind of bassy goodness which has had us grooving all year, to the point where we threw him in with a bunch of legends doing grand things in house music at the moment (check it HERE). It's out officially via Sweat It Out August 22, with remixes from Aussie house illumaniti such as Yolanda Be Cool, Dom Dolla and Jad & The Ladyboy. Sydney's Mammals give us a short'n'sweet run through of their debut EP.. Sydney's Mammal's release their debut EP Animalia Friday 15 August, and it caps off an impressive time for the group that includes the first single Wolf garnering accolades all over the place, along with the just-dropped Goldroom collab - Till Sunrise (listen HERE). Indian Summer's future-club banger gets a weird/wonderful video.. With their latest single Shiner feat. Ginger & The Ghost being premiered by THUMP US, clocking up a million Youtube views, racing past a quarter-mill on Soundcloud and hitting #1 on Hype Machine, it's time for one our fave duos in Aussie Dance Indian Summer to unleash their first ever music video. Shot by Jack Toohey (The Kite String Tangle, Cosmo's Midnight), it's wacky trip through the lives of a whole bunch of different people. Not unlike their genre-hopping style, it's another excellent step forward as the Indian Summer train surges forward in 2014. The boy wonder's world-smashing single gets a smooth video clip.. Following the release of his first official single, Happy Little Pill, and the ensuing remix from another young group of Melbourne producers Casper Zazz (check it HERE), WA-based Youtube sensation Troye Sivan has dropped a video clip for the track which is racing towards half-a-million plays in only a day. His massive fanbase is undeniable (he's already crashed our site twice), fortunately the kid knows how to craft a solid pop tune. Citing influences such as Lorde and Frank Ocean, it's a good pedigree to form a base from. And if these are the kinda tunes young music fans are getting into - well that's something we're definitely on board with: Your can pre-order Troye's debut EP TRXYE HERE (it's out Friday 15 August).

With a new album almost out and tour kicking off, Seekae answer a couple of Q's.. Sydney electronic outfit Seekae are on the verge of releasing their much-anticipated third LP, The Worry (out September 12 via Future Classic - pre-order HERE), and with the national tour celebrating said releasing kicking off this week, John Hassell from the trio took a break from tour prep to answer a few questions.

Should have known we'd just get photos of weird Korean drinks and crying cats.. WA radio institution RTRFM are launching their epic 10 day Radiothon on Friday 15 August across four venues with a host of Perth's finest (seriously - check the details HERE), and the apple in our eye you know as Sable will be smashing things out at the Flyrite stage. There, along with Lower Spectrum and Cloudwaves DJs, he'll be joined by good pals Slumberjack (you might remember a little ditty they released together called SPRINTER), so we figured why not ask these two production behemoths to take a break from sexting and actually interview each other via the iPhone. We should have known it'd just be full of weird pictures, Korean beverages and sad cats, but if you dig a little deeper there's some sneaky little bits of info here and there that might just pique your interest.

Time to start keeping an ear on Sydney's Ribongia.. Following some props from the likely Indian Summer lads over at STONEY ROADS, and Dom Alessio jumping on board this week, it's definitely time to get acquainted with Sydney producer Ribongia. He's been making music for a couple of years now, but it feels like in 2014 he's really starting to flex his muscle. First was the release of Slave Trade about a month ago (listen HERE), and now this weird tropical banger take on Andy Bull's Talk Too Much. It might take you a second to get your head around the intro, but once it gets into its kinda-Jersey kinda something-else-entirely rhythm, it feels fresh, and you can't help but tap your feet. There's a new music agency kid on the block, run by an old pro.. Former Modular booking agent Paul Stix has just launched a new business venture in UNDR ctrl - an "an innovative booking, touring and events agency, representing a highly regarded mix of electronic artists from Australia and around the world." After heading up Modular's booking under the guide of The Musique Agency, Stix is ready to take things global with a much sought-after roster that includes: Just A Gent (Stoney Roads' Breakthough Producer Of The Year); Albert Salt, Ara Koufax (Naysayer & Gilsun's new side project) and JAWS, alongside Australian electronic stalwarts Bag Raiders, Van She, Lancelot, Wordlife and Canyons. The Aussie house scene continues its exponential growth.. Following our premiere yesterday of Mickey Kojak's new Sinden remix (check it HERE), we figure it time to give another up-and-coming house producer some lovin' in LO'99. Fairly mysterious, he's been bobbing up with a few sweet free remixes and originals, and we get the feeling it's just the beginning and Australia falls more and more in love with the 4x4 bizness. They were the best of times.... The Blurst Of Times Festival is back for 2014 for a huge day of good old fashioned rock and roll. Part 1 of this year's lineup takes over The Brightside, The Brightside carpark and The Zoo Saturday 18 October, and offers punters another chance to get across some of the best acts somewhere amongst the realms of punk, rock, hardcore and guitar pop.
