This year's Surfing The Coldstream Festival will be returning to the stunning scenery of Yamba, at the mouth of the Clarence River, having just announced a stellar bill for 2016 led by Melburnian nine-piece Sex On Toast

Various genres like funk, soul, reggae, hip hop, electronica, indie and rock will be on offer alongside the groovin' Melbourne band, including Sydney's Declan Kelly & The Rising Sun, Sunshine Coast's Sahara Beck, hip hop act Teddy Lewis King, soul jazz group Ladyslug, singer Grace Hickey and Nocturnal Tapes set to bring some spice to this year's festivities.

Surfing The Coldstream's Festival Manager Phil Nicholas says, "Surfing The Coldstream Festival prides itself on discovering and showcasing up and coming Australian musicians. We do it for the love of music and for the love of the north coast lifestyle.

"We’ve got the beach, the tunes, the good times and one hell of a supportive local community. We are more than ready to bring it to the people again this year."

The regional festival will also feature local acts, culture and visual art displays. The entire community jumps in with six primary schools preforming, a high-school busking competition, an art walk featuring Indigenous artists and a short film festival showcasing local, Aboriginal and surf culture stories from debut and long time filmmakers.

With a family-friendly, alcohol-free beachfront backdrop for the festival, Surfing The Coldstream will hit Yamba on 15 October.
