In March 2024, the popular Broadway musical Wicked is flying into Melbourne’s Regent Theatre. Continuing its residency at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre, Wicked’s current run has been described as “ingenious and beautiful” by the Sydney Morning Herald. Soon enough, it’ll be Melbourne’s turn.
Led by an all-Australian cast of Courtney Monsma as “Glinda the Good” and Sheridan Adams as Elphaba, the girl who becomes the “Wicked Witch of the West”, Robyn Nevin as Madame Morrible, Todd McKenney as the famous Wizard, Liam Head as Fiyero, Adam Murphy as Dr Dillamond, Shewit Belay as Nessarose, Kurtis Papadinis as Boq, and Zoe Coppinger will be the Elphaba Standby.
That’s not all, though, as Wicked arrives with a talented troupe of individuals carrying the Ensemble and Swing, including, per a press release:
Christian Ambesi, Conor Bann-Murray, Brittany Carter, Olivia Castagna, Eli Cooper, Matt Cranleigh, Joseph Donovan, Sage Douglas, Bayley John Edmends, Todd Jacobsson, Rohan Khanna, Andrew Kroenert, Elisha Zion Lee, Jordan Malone, Emily Monsma, Matilda Moran, Jackson Reedman, Amelia Sanzo, Edward Smith, Ksenia Teliatnikova, Lucas Van Rhijn, Jessica Vellucci, Mietta White and Jun Woodfield.
