It's an old-timey unholy marriage of art exhibitions and music
Tyler, The Creator has been a busy man of late – while not working on his Adult Swim show The Loiter Squad, he's been collaborating away with US artist Mark Ryden, contributing a version of the vintage song Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built For Two) to Ryden's concept album The Gay Nineties – Olde Tyme Music.
As such, it's only fitting that Ryden would put together this video, which, from the dead-eyed doll in the rocking chair and the 2001: A Space Odyssey links at the beginning right through to Tyler's floating head distortedly repeating “Daisy/ Daisy/ Daisy/ Bell” at the end, is a deeply unsettling affair from start to finish (or a must-watch, if you happen to be on hallucinogens).
Tyler's, however, is not the only version of Daisy Bell on the album – in fact, the entire thing is made up of a gamut of musicians and artists lending their interpretation of the 1892 song for Ryden's purposes, forming part of his wider exhibition The Gay Nineties West, currently on show in Los Angeles.

Aside from giving listeners a chance to hear Daisy Bell in ways they never thought they would, The Gay Nineties album will donate all of its profits to Little Kids Rock, a non-profit organisation dedicated to giving children at disadvantaged schools access to quality music education.
