After taking a year off in 2024, Wanderer Festival will return in 2025.
The event, which takes place on Pambula Beach, NSW, has gone from a three-day event to a two-day extravaganza this year. The beloved music and arts festival comes back over the October long weekend, locked in for Saturday, 4 and Sunday, 5 October.
Festival organisers tease that more than 50 acts will perform on the Wanderer stages over two days, with the first artist announcement set to arrive in the coming weeks.
According to a press release, the line-up announcement and tickets will be released in May. Tickets will remain at 2023 prices, which punters can purchase via the Wanderer Festival website next month. Payment plans will be made available.
Last February, event founder Simon Daly discussed the move to host the festival in biennial years. He explained that extra time between festivals allowed for more sustainability – especially for regional events – as that additional runtime contributed to being able to secure government funding and lock in international artists.
Upon the festival’s return this year, Daly said, “Events have a tremendous ability to inspire, uplift and connect people in a way that is so vital. I love that anyone can come to Wanderer and feel like it’s for them – no matter how old, young or where you’re from – the atmosphere and experience transcends everything.”

Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper added, “We are thrilled to back Wanderer Festival on its return to the NSW major events calendar. It proved an enormous hit with festivalgoers and will again draw thousands of people to one of Australia’s most pristine locations, supporting local businesses and jobs.
“Delivering major events like Wanderer Festival in the South Coast of NSW will help us to drive visitation across the state, and ensure people visit the wonderful offerings of our regional communities.”
Wanderer Festival made its debut in 2022, booking acts including DMA’S, Wolfmother, The Teskey Brothers, Confidence Man, Hayley Mary, Body Type, The Dandy Warhols, Alice Ivy, and Emma Donovan.
The 2023 event offered over 45 acts across three days, including The Jungle Giants, Spiderbait, Kevin Morby, Lisa Mitchell, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Ocean Alley, Thelma Plum, Art vs. Science, Kim Churchill, Montaigne, and many others.
