WA music’s night of nights, the WAMAwards, has once again highlighted the state’s thriving music scene, with rising singer-songwriter Carla Geneve leading the night and taking out four awards.

Geneve walked away with Best EP, Best Rock Act, Best Single for Things Change and Best Guitarist on the night. She also won Best Rock Act and Best Single for Greg’s Discount Chemist at last year's event too.

This year also saw the debut Artist of the Year Award presented to Stella Donnelly to recognise the "significant headway" she's made in her career on a national and international scale. Donnelly also picked up Best Album for her ARIA-nominated Beware Of The Dogs, and Best Pop Act.

Meanwhile, beloved WA live music venue Mojo’s Bar picked up Most Popular Venue for the sixth year in row, as voted by the public. The Publicly Voted categories also saw wins for Dulcie (Most Popular Act and Most Popular New Act), Spacey Jane (Most Popular Live Act) and Falls Festival (Most Popular Music Event).
