The Wool Store, one of Australia’s most beloved venues for electronic music events, is being revived once again thanks to Untitled Group and their upcoming summer event series.
News of The Wool Store’s return was announced on social media this week, with Untitled Group revealing its impending comeback alongside posts celebrating their tenth anniversary.
“The Wool Store Returns,” they wrote on socials. “We made history together in those walls, now, the heartbeat returns and the story continues.
“We’re getting ready for the party, are you?”
Currently, no specifics in regard to the line ups or dates of the upcoming events have been announced, though the post’s soundtrack of Getting Ready For The Party by Dutch heavyweight KI/KI may either be a hint or a fitting choice of tune.
However, a press release reveals that further information will be unveiled in the coming months, “with every event set to showcase Untitled Group’s signature approach to curation, production, and atmosphere.”

The Wool Store, located in the western suburb of Footscray, is an historic venue which was built in the 1940s and played a vital role in Australia’s post-war wool boom.
In 2018, Untitled Group transformed the heritage-listed warehouse into a European-style warehouse rave, and swiftly turned it into one of the most unique and revered electronic music venues.
Most recently, The Wool Store hosted one of the biggest events in Aussie electronic music back in December when Dom Dolla and Solomun teamed up for a four-hour B2B set.
The forthcoming summer series takes place as part of Untitled Group’s 10th birthday celebrations. Speaking to The Music in January, co-founder Christian Serrao looked back on what the company had achieved since its inception.
“It brings me a great sense of pride for what we've been able to create over this last decade,” he explained. “We started out in the clubs and I believe what we have done is created an amazing community and culture around music lovers and the annual growth that we're seeing within this company has just been incredibly humbling.”
“We have like an obsession, I would say, with ensuring that those who attend our events have the time of their lives,” he added. “We have a deep root and connection to electronic and club culture, so I think we've created a really engaged community of music lovers that just continue wanting to attend our events.”
