Linkin Park have cancelled tonight’s show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, citing “an illness in the band.”

The band shared the news on social media today, informing fans that, unfortunately, the show will not be rescheduled. Fans will receive refunds from their point of sale and be contacted directly with more information.

“We have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel tonight’s show due to an illness in the band,” the band’s statement reads. “The Australian tour has been incredible so far and we are devastated that we’re unable to perform for our fans in Adelaide. Unfortunately, the show will not be rescheduled.”

The statement continued, “Please know that canceling [sic] a show is not a decision we take lightly. We are sorry to those fans who were planning to attend. Tickets will be refunded at the point of sale, and you will be contacted directly by your ticketing company with more information. Thank you for understanding.”

So far, Linkin Park have performed two shows each at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. They’re also scheduled to perform two nights at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (14 and 15 March), and a night at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Wednesday, 18 March. At the time of publication, the upcoming shows are going ahead as planned.

Since the band’s second night in Melbourne (10 March), fans on the Linkin Park Reddit have reported that vocalist Emily Armstrong seemingly performed with a cold and lost her voice for a moment while playing Lost.

The band went on to perform some of their most difficult tracks, including Keys To The Kingdom, A Place For My Head, Bleed It Out, and Faint.

A note on setlist.fm states that the songs Stained and Heavy Is The Crown were on the printed setlist, “but were not performed due to Emily Armstrong experiencing vocal issues toward the end of the show.”

Reviewing the band’s first show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, The Music’s Claire Dunton wrote, “The first of seven shows in the Australian leg of the tour was an unbelievable feat of production, effects, and sound, proving that Linkin Park still holds their crown as rock royalty.”
