Tim Minchin will tour across Australia later this year, announcing a lengthy tour from October to December today.
The country’s favourite singer-songwriter, pianist, comedian, actor, musical-theatre composer-lyricist, and soft-hearted provocateur will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dark Side on the ironically titled Songs The World Will Never Hear tour.
Minchin’s shows will be packed with songs and stories delivered with his signature razor-sharp wit, musical dexterity, and honesty, with the setlist drawing from three decades of music and humour.
The tour begins at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Friday, 31 October, and will span nine cities, stopping in Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth, Newcastle, Sydney, Gold Coast, and Toowoomba. You can find all the dates and venues below.

In a statement, Minchin said of the upcoming tour, “20 years ago, Dark Side took me from tiny cabaret rooms to the West End of London.
“In the years since then, I’ve pushed the boat out in as many directions as possible… and I’ve only been able to do so because of my fans. They’ve never flinched as I’ve turned corners and reinvented myself, always engaging open-heartedly with whatever I have to offer.
“I’m the luckiest artist on the planet, and I can’t wait to be back touring my home country with a big joyous show spanning my whole bloody mad career.”
