Ticketek has issued a response following an extended outage that’s seen fans stress over being unable to download tickets ahead of gigs such as twenty one pilots and Kane Brown. Due to the issues, pre-sales for acts, including Jack White and Alexisonfire tours, have moved.
Posting on X (formerly known as Twitter) this afternoon, the ticketing service revealed that they took the measure of putting systems offline as a “precautionary measure” after the system monitored a “heightened threat level.”
The statement reads:
Ticketek wishes to thank its Customers and Partners for their patience while our systems were temporarily offline. Our systems were back online earlier this morning and we apologise for any inconvenience.

While maintenance is normal for ticketing websites, Ticketek was reportedly down for two days. Punters reported being unable to make new purchases or access their digital wallets to open their already-purchased tickets.
The Ticketek website said it was “currently undergoing maintenance.” According to the website's message, the update was “taking longer than anticipated,” and users could experience “temporary disruptions.”
Multiple industry sources told The Music that they believe the “maintenance” may be related to a larger issue.
Due to Ticketek’s “ongoing issues” over the last few days, Frontier Touring moved ticketing agencies for today’s pre-sale for Jack White’s December Melbourne and Sydney shows. Tickets to those shows will now be sold via AXS and TicketSearch.
The touring company also cancelled today’s pre-sale for Róisín Murphy and moved the on-sale for Alexisonfire and pre-sales for Ado.
