Last month, Sunshine Coast-based music venue The Station announced its first birthday celebrations, which were due to happen earlier in March.

The event, hosting the likes of The Presets, Haiku Hands, and Crooked Colours, was scheduled to take place from Friday, 28 February, to Sunday, 2 March. The event was titled The Big One, and now, with its rescheduled date, The Big One will become a winter extravaganza.

The Station’s first birthday bash will now be held on Saturday, 5 July, and has been renamed Winter One-Derland.

This July, The Station will transform into a winter wonderland for an all-ages, one-day festival starring The Presets, Haiku Hands, Crooked Colours, and powerhouse sets from Pulse DJs Luvo & Holly Harben, Emily Rink, and Isla Ivy.

Winter One-Derland is set to be bigger and better than initially planned and take place during the NSW and QLD winter school holidays. Tickets to the original event remain valid, and punters who can’t make it on the new date can access refunds via Moshtix.

In addition to live music, The Station will offer food and drink options, and host an afternoon and evening of music, food, drinks, and entertainment.

The Station co-owner Chris Hignett said of the forthcoming event, “Rescheduling has given us the opportunity to create something truly unique. WINTER ONE-DERLAND will be an unmissable experience for the whole family, blending top-tier live music from The Presets and more, with an immersive winter-themed festival setting.”

Tickets to the rescheduled event are available now via Moshtix.

The Station SC kicked off its venue operations with a gig from The Temper Trap on 1 March 2024. Since then, the venue has sold over 20,000 tickets and drawn international, national, and local names to its stage.
