The Sunshine Coast’s hottest live music venue, The Station SC, is preparing to celebrate its first birthday with an absolutely massive weekend of music.
From its opening last March – The Station SC kicked off its venue operations with a gig from The Temper Trap on 1 March 2024 – to now, the venue has sold over 20,000 tickets and drawn international, national, and local names to its stage.
Today, the venue announced its largest-ever event, The Big One, which will feature Aussie legends The Presets as the headlining act.
To celebrate its first birthday, The Station has prepared a weekend of live music, kicking off on Friday, 28 February, and wrapping up on Sunday, 2 March. The Presets will headline The Big One on Saturday, 1 March, as the venue hosts a relaunch of the Sunshine Coast Pride Network and the Big Vibes chill-out event on Sunday.
Punters can also expect an abundance of food and beverages, entertainment, and epic moments. As teased in a press release, “This is THE place to be on the Sunshine Coast on the first weekend of March.”
In addition to The Presets – bringing their full production live show to The Station – concertgoers can catch live sets from Crooked Colours and Haiku Hands, with more acts, activities, and entertainment to be announced soon. Doors open at 4 pm, and the fun will continue throughout the day.
