Despite frontman Sam Hales’ recent motor accident and subsequent surgery, The Jungle Giants have confirmed that their upcoming Hold My Hand tour is going ahead.
Just last week, the Brisbane band were forced to cancel their live Bass In The Domain headlining slot, telling fans that Hales was coming out of “a surgery that will hopefully help him be back in action soon” after being involved in a crash.
Though there were fears that the Hold My Hand tour would have to be cancelled or postponed, The Jungle Giants have confirmed that it will go ahead as planned.
Posting to social media, Hales wrote, “I’m so happy to say I’m doing so much better, HEALING, will make a full recovery and the April tour is 100% happening! So fkn happy to say I’ve been given the all clear to do our upcoming Hold My Hand tour in April. We’re on!! Can’t bloody believe it.”
It seems like it may not have all been rosy, though - with Hales revealing that he “had a big scare that [he] wouldn’t be able to play guitar again.” Thankfully, he was in good hands.

“The absolutely amazing docs and nurses at the PA hospital have said the surgery was a success and that I’ve been extremely lucky. I’m feeling so thankful.”
Hales also thanked family, friends, and fans for their support throughout this time, saying, “Can’t tell you how much all your kind messages have meant, and the support of my friends and fam. Especially for all the snacks. Feeling very loved and lucky. It’s been amazing.”
