The Angels Come 'Face To Face' With ASO To Celebrate The Album's 40th Anniversary

More The Angels More The Angels

Four decades on from the release of their sophomore album Face To Face, which effectively put the band on the map both here and internationally, The Angels are celebrating its release with a showcase featuring the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.

Under the musical direction of Ron John, the ASO will be joined on stage by Dave Gleeson, the Brewster brothers (John and Rick), Nick Norton and Sam Brewster (John's son). Peter Goers is on board as compere for the night to guide the audience through details about the band's legacy.

"Adelaide will always be a special place for us as the birth place for the band, and we can't wait to play with one of the best orchestras in the country, the ASO," SA Hall Of Fame inductee and The Angels frontman, Dave Gleeson, said.

Vincent Ciccarello, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Managing Director, said, "The Angels' John and Rick Brewster's grandfather was one of the founders of the first Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. It is fitting the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra pays tribute to one of Australia's greatest rock bands."
