Say hello to the South King Recreation Club.
A new venue "inspired by memories of pre-lockout Sydney" is set to launch in Newtown next month.
South King Recreation Club (SKRC), to open on Thursday 5 September, will feature good music, outdoor beer garden, classic pub food and "a good times playground".
The King Street venue will operate from 5pm-late Monday to Friday and from midday on weekends.
The SKRC Entertainment Director Rick "Hollywood" Hunter has also sourced vintage vinyl for the venue and promises to recruit "some of Newtown's most recognised music veterans to make guest DJ appearances".
Check out the SKRC Instagram page here and keep an eye on theMusic.com.au for more details.
The news comes after data obtained by the City Of Sydney found that almost 500,000 fewer people under the age of 35 have visited Sydney each year since 2014, the same year lockouts took affect.

"In 2014 I warned the State Government that its lockout laws would have a devastating impact on the night time economy, and recommended a review of the lockout experiment after one year. Six years later, I’m sad to say these predictions were accurate,” Lord Mayor Clover Moore said in July.
“The collateral damage has been devastating. Scores of small bars, live music venues, well-managed clubs and pubs have closed – not to mention a reduction in business diversity, with 50% fewer restaurants and only 9% of entertainment business trading beyond midnight.”
