The Sydney lads kick off their east-coast co-headline tour this Friday
Acclaimed Sydney trio Step-Panther are mere days away from embarking on their co-headline tour with city-mates Bearhug, but they're not about to (east) coast their way to the year's end, with the band announcing that they are the newest signees to esteemed US label Burger Records.
Burger Records is, or has been, the home of acts such as Ty Segall, King Tuff, OFF! and The Black Lips, with cassette releases also under its belt for Weezer, Jenny Lewis and Rodriguez, among others. With their new full-length Strange But Nice freshly working its way through the ears to the hearts and minds of countless fans, the lads of Step-Panther are well placed to make their mark on an eager American audience. Label boss Sean Bohrman is certainly excited by the prospect, saying in a statement, "Burger is super stoked to spread the Aussie vibes worldwide with Step-Panther's totally tight garage-pop jams!"
On top of that excellent news, Step-Panther today have unveiled the smashing new clip for fresh cut User Friendly, which was shot at a recent Sydney house party and demonstrates the trio's super-crushing live form. It's a fine follow-up to previous release It Came From The Heart, and you can check it out in all its glory right here.
Step-Panther and Bearhug kick off their co-headline east-coast tour this Friday, November 21, at Sydney's GoodGod Small Club, with support from Point Being. For a full rundown of dates, venues and ticketing information, hit up theGuide or see The Music App.
