Step-Panther Announce New Single And Launch Dates

The Sydney trio will play two shows in support of new cut 'Nowhere'

Sydney-based indie three-piece Step-Panther have revealed the title and release date of their newest single, Nowhere, to be released digitally this Friday, June 6, and consequently launched with shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

No doubt familiar to the Step-Panther live-show faithful, Nowhere marks the band's first new material since last year's Dreamcrusher EP, and the initial taste of the trio's forthcoming sophomore LP Strange But Nice, which is set to hit physical and digital stores in August. The album was produced by Big Scary's Tom Iansek at his Mixed Business studios in Melbourne.

You can listen to Nowhere, which frontman Stephen Bourke says draws influence from “innocent” childhood violence as well as lyrical imagery inspired by the mediaeval fantasy of Game Of Thrones, right here:

Strange But Nice will be Step-Panther's first release via new label Hub, and, although it features session bassist Sean McGinty in place of departed member José, the shows to launch Nowhere will see Hockey Dad's Zach Stephenson step into full-time four-string duties from here.

Step-Panther launch Nowhere on Saturday, June 28, at Fitzroy's Workers Club, Melbourne (supported by Warmth Crashes In and ESC), and Friday, July 4, in Sydney at the Brighton Up Bar (supported by Adults and Doom Mountain).

Tickets are available for both shows via Oztix.
