Happening this Saturday!

After making its debut last week, The State Of Music will return this weekend for round two, bringing with it an all-female line-up for Mother's Day.

Hosted by Carrie Bickmore and Jane Gazzo, the initiative from Mushroom Group and the Victorian Government will take place this Saturday at 6:30pm and will feature performances from Kate Miller-Heidke, Mahalia Barnes, Missy Higgins, Mia Wray, Montaigne and Vera Blue.

Episode two will also feature an interview with Sheppard, a panel discussion on motherhood with Deborah Conway, Kate Ceberano and Mahalia Barnes and more.

“After the success of Music From The Home Front I’m thrilled to be a part of Premier Daniel Andrews’ and the Victorian Government’s vision to deliver Australian music into people’s lounge rooms each week," industry legend Michael Gudinski said when The State Of Music was announced last week.

“Melbourne is one of the great music cities in the world and the leading music city in Australia. While we are currently unable to experience music in Victoria’s celebrated live venues this great initiative will play a part in ensuring our musicians and those that work in the music industry have a future.”
