65daysofstatic ProfileSydney post rock outfit Sleepmakeswaves have scored the national support slot for 65daysofstatic, the UK instrumental post-rock icons coming to Australia for the Peats Ridge festival.
Sleepmakeswaves capped a busy year including European and US tours (plus a SxSW appearance) that has been capped by an ARIA Award nomination.
As well as the national support act, local acts will open proceedings for each show. Electronic trio Bon Chat Bon Rat will have the duty in Sydney, experimental solo electro artist Elroy 4.0, ambient rockers Hazards Of Swimming Naked for Brisbane, solo atmospheric artist The Townhouses and prog quartet Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving in Perth.
There's a bit of news from the headliners as well, with 65's album One Time For All Time – their seminal 2005 album including tracks Radio Protector and Drove Through Ghosts To Get Here – slated for an Australian release. It's out now through Bird's Robe Records.
