Singing Their Praises: The Musos Backing Clinton and Trump

America's top music stars (as well as a few Z-listers) have decided who they're backing for President

They’re with her: the musos backing Hillary for Pres

Beyoncé and Jay Z

The pop power couple headlined a Clinton "Get Out The Vote" rally concert last week. Jay Z told the crowd, “I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead our country and knowing her possibilities are limitless.”

Madonna

Madge staged an intimate acoustic gig in support of Clinton just hours ago, in New York’s Washington Square, including an original take on John Lennon’s Imagine in her five-song set.

Katy Perry

Perry told crowds at an October performance she gave at a Clinton rally in Iowa, “So much change can happen.” She has also been very active on social media campaigning for Clinton.

Demi Lovato

The pop starlet and former American Idol judge pledged her support for the Democratic candidate back in July at the party's National Convention.

Pharrell

In an interview on the Ellen show, Pharrell went public as a Clinton supporter, adding “It’s time for a woman to be in there.” He has since hit the campaign trail hard with Hills; we assume he’ll be Happy should she win.

Bruce Springsteen

The legendary singer has been an active supporter of Clinton for much of her campaign. Performing at a rally last night, he said the choice between Clinton and Trump "couldn't be any clearer."

Lady Gaga

Unsurprisingly for someone who is one of the great fashion icons of the age, Gaga has expressed her support for Clinton via clothes, Instagramming a pic in a U.S. flag swimsuit with the caption #HILLARY2016. She later changed the name on her official twitter profile to the pro-Hills hashtag and also played a midnight rally for the Presidential hopeful last night in Philadelphia.

Jon Bon Jovi

The very active Clinton supporter was another act at last night midnight rally in Philly, sharing the stage with Gaga, The Boss plus Bill and Chelsea Clinton.

Paul McCartney

The Beatles legend performed at a $25,000-a-ticket Clinton fundraiser back in August.

30 Days, 50 Songs: R.E.M, Franz Ferdinand, Death Cab for Cutie and more

The project "for a Trump free America" has secured songs by a heap of amazing talent and had to extend their target from 30 songs to 50 after supply outstripped demand. We recommend you spend some time perusing the musical goodies on offer.

Making ‘Murica Great Again? The musos backing Trump

Azealia Banks

Making her endorsement on Twitter, Azealia branded Clinton an “establishment robot.”

Aaron Carter

The faded former child pop star claimed his vote for Trump was because he likes “people who defy the odds,” and definitely not for media attention.

Ted Nugent

This isn’t all that surprising, given that the 10-gallon-hat wearing singer-songwriter is an ardent NRA supporter who thinks, “political correctness is a public cancer.”

Kid Rock

He’s “digging Donald Trump” apparently…

Wayne Newton

The Las Vegas entertainer claimed he admired Trump because “he always tells the truth.” Erm… Wayne, we hate to break it to you…
