We're Past The Halfway Point - The Fourth Radio Ratings For 2019 Are In!

The ratings are in.

It's been a big year for radio and now the fourth round of ratings are here. Check out the metro figures below and click on the images for a larger version. See the June 2019 ratings here.

Sydney

KIIS FM's Kyle & Jackie O have maintained their spot at the top of the Sydney's breakfast programs, beating out the competition with a 10.9% market share. They have suffered a loss this period though, dropping 0.9% from June. WSFM's Jonesy & Amanda have held second place with 8.5% market share (down 0.3%), Nova's in at third with Fitzy & Wippa's breakfast program at 7.5% (up 0.3%). 

Smooth FM's breakfast with Bogart Torelli & Glenn Daniel claims 6.8% (down 0.7%) and Triple M are up 0.4% to a total of 6% for their breakfast show with comedian Lawrence Mooney. Triple J's breakfast program with Ben & Liam has seen a growth of 0.8% up to 4.2% market share. 2Day FM's breakfast show with Grant Denyer, Ash London & Ed Kavalee has dropped 1.1% to a total of 3.1% market share.

Triple J has seen a growth of 0.4% across the board (up to 4.3% market share from 3.9%) with the afternoons slot (lunch with Gen Fricker) seeing the largest increase, up 1.1% from 3.3% to 4.4%.

Melbourne

Fox FM's breakfast program with Fifi, Fev & Byron has managed to edge ahead of Smooth FM's Mike Perso & Jennifer Hanson after the two stations tied at 8.9% market share last ratings period. Fox has grown a whopping 1.6% to a 10.5% market share, while Smooth has dropped 2.2% to 6.7%. 

Nova 100 claims the prize as Melbourne second most listened to breakfast program with Chrissie, Sam & Browny picking up a 8.2% market share (up 0.4%), with The Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show picking up Gold FM third place with 7% (down 0.7%). 

Triple J's breakfast suffers a loss of 0.5% for a total of 4.7%, while the morning and afternoon slots see growths of 0.7% and 1.4% respectively. The station sees a overall growth of 0.1% (for a total of 4.8%) in Melbourne. 

Brisbane

A majority of Brisbane's breakfast programs see healthy growth this ratings period, with Nova's breakfast with Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie picking up a 11.8% market share (up 0.5%). Triple M's breakfast with Marto, Robin & Nick Cody is close behind with 11.4% (up 0.8%). 

Triple J remains steady across the board, holding its overall share of 8.2% from last period. Breakfast grows 0.2% to 8.2%, morning remains at 8.2%, afternoon drops to 8% from 9.2%, drive is up 0.5% to 9.7% and evening is down 1.2% to 5.9%. 

Perth

Nova sees very impressive growth across all its programs in Perth, with breakfast moving up 1.1%, morning 1.3%, afternoon 1.2%, drive 1.5% and evening 1.9%, to see the station take a 14.1% total market share to see it up 1.5% on last period. 

It's also been a successful period for triple j who have grown 1.7% across the board, for a 11.5% market share. All programs have seen growth in the period, but most substantially the evening show Good Nights With Bridget Hustwaite which has seen a growth of 6.2% for a total of 13.8%. 

Adelaide

MIX102.3 holds its spot as Adelaide's most popular FM breakfast program scoring a 10.8% market share for this ratings period, however the show has seen a loss of 1.4%. Nova's breakfast program with Dylan Lewis & Hayley Pearson continues growing, now claiming a 9.7% market share (up 0.3%). 

Triple J's breakfast program with Ben & Liam has seen a loss of 1.2%, with the former Adelaide-based presenters now holding 6.3% market share. The station sees a loss across all programs except drive, which holds steady at 8.4%.
