In a deal signed with community broadcaster Fresh 92.7
The future of Radio Adelaide has been secured, with The University Of Adelaide operated outlet today announcing they will become an independent, not-for-profit organisation as of July.
The stability of Radio Adelaide had been in jeopardy that past 12 month, but an agreement signed by the University yesterday will see community broadcaster Fresh 92.7 provide advice and facilities to the station, once approved by broadcasting authority ACMA.
Vice Chancellor and President Professor Warren Bebbington said the agreement ensures Radio Adelaide continues its educational mission.
“The media training provided to our Media students and the community will continue, and likely expand,” he said in a statement.

Fresh 92.7 General Manager Troy Sincock said the deal was an exciting venture for community radio in the state.
“Having built a strong product and a listenership of over 150,000 people each week, Fresh 92.7 has the right mix of knowledge and experience to provide advice and guidance to Radio Adelaide,” Sinsock said.
The station will relocate to Fresh 92.7’s CBD hub, potentially moving to a new studio in the future.
The University Of Adelaide founded Radio Adelaide in 1972, owning and operating it ever since.
