He believes "clandestine agreements" have duped him out of royalties.

Legendary music producer Quincy Jones believes he is owed a whopping $10 million in unpaid royalties from the estate of deceased King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and he is suing the singer's estate and record label - Sony Music Entertainment - for the money.

The 2009 documentary-concert film This Is It and the presently touring Cirque du Soleil The Immortal tour are at the crux of the suit, with Jones saying that the music used in both productions have been altered in an attempt to deny the producer royalties.

In a complaint, which you can read here courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, Jones alleges that MJJ Productions and Sony have entered into "clandestine agreements" that would see him duped out of royalties he believes he is legally entitled to. Jones also claims he signed contracts in 1978 and 1985 that would allow him first opportunity to re-edit or remix the Jackson recordings and would give him back-end royalties for any profit made from remixed masters.

Jones, now 80, co-produced some of Jackson's biggest records which went on to become some of the highest selling records of all time. The Jones co-produced LPs 1979's Off The Wall, 1982's Thriller and 1987's Bad have sold around 130 million copies collectively since their release.
