Slacker pop band Plastic Cheeses have used their new single to admit that while they're okay with aging gracefully, it's the prospect of switching to Mid Strength Beer where they draw the line.

Alt rock indie trio Plastic Cheeses will be the first to tell you that when it comes to life’s harsh realities, it’s getting older that is one of the worst.
Whether it’s experiencing pains in places you'd never thought of, an inability to stay awake for long period of time, or the growing impact of hangovers, aging isn’t exactly high on the list of priorities for members of the group.
Facing realities like this isn’t a new undertaking for the group, whose members hail from Naarm, the Otways, and the Surf Coast. Earlier this year, they unveiled the track And Then I Think About You, which explored how one’s prime concerns tend to change as age creeps up on you.
Now, the group are back with another dose of reality, unveiling Mid Strength Crisis – a folksy piece of music which sees the group coming to terms with aging gracefully.
It might be okay to lose touch with what's hip, and it might be okay to switch to drinking a home on a Sunday afternoon, but maybe the line needs to be drawn at switching to mid-strength beer.
It’s an on-brand piece of work for the trio, utilising their quirky nature, playful and introspective songwriting, and unifying musicianship to create a track which is as effective as it is enjoyable, and one that will undoubtedly resonate for some time.
