More Paramore More Paramore

Paramore have been full of surprises this week.

The fun began when singer Hayley Williams mailed a CD featuring her new solo song, Mirtazapine, to the Nashville-based public radio station, WNXP.

The song premiered live during a session on WNXP and showcases Williams embracing the grunge and alternative rock music of the ‘90s, with listeners comparing the track to Hole, Garbage, and Melissa Auf der Maur.

Then, in the early hours of Friday (25 July), Australian and New Zealand fans received a shock when All We Know Is Falling (Deluxe) suddenly appeared on streaming services.

All We Know Is Falling is Paramore’s debut album and was released on 26 July 2005. Written, recorded, and released while the band were still teenagers, the album contains hit singles such as Emergency and Pressure and fan-favourite tracks such as Conspiracy and Here We Go Again.

Now, when fans listen to the album on streaming services, they’ll also get to hear the first-ever digital release of The Summer Tic EP, which was a CD-only release in 2006.

You can check out the deluxe edition of the album below.

All We Know Is Falling was the first album to be released through Paramore’s longstanding contract with Atlantic Records – via Fueled by Ramen – which the band finished last year, following the release of 2023’s This Is Why.

Last year, Paramore made Grammy history by becoming the first female-fronted rock band to win the Best Rock Album award for This Is Why.

The band toured the album Down Under in November 2023, with The Music’s Monique La Terra saying about one of their four Melbourne stops:

After a five-year hiatus, Paramore have resurfaced as a more refined version of themselves, and it turns out that evolution suits them. It seems they have found the sonic sweet point between musically ambitious and self-assured fluidity.

Following the tour, Paramore fuelled rumours of their imminent breakup by disappearing from the Internet. Those rumours were amplified when they suddenly dropped off a festival bill – but thankfully, the band quashed their fans’ fears by confirming that they will continue as a newly independent band.
